The Final Organized Online Halo Event - was that indeed. Out of the 16 teams entered, Only 4 showed up at the party, although the same teams have expressed much more interest in the Rank and Ladder Contests Starting May 1st. 11 Teams have confirmed and are listed here and it should prove to be a better contest, not only in the terms of More Showing up to play, but better for the Clans and Members because of a longer time frame. There will be one more Tourney Event at the End of the Year on the 1 year anniverasary on XbN 1, by far the most successful. The awesome prizes will be forwarded to that contest and the Team from this Event XbN IV will receive $10.00 for the clan booty chest, either in the form of discount coupons or hard cold cash for their dedication to this contest. The XbN IV Event will be the Last Two Week events other than the 1 day Grand Champions Tourny scheduled for Dec 22nd, 2002. It will be in the usual format, but all XbN Members who are actively participating in the Leagues and Rank Contests are eligible to play. XbN IV, the last of its breed before......oh wait.....almost forgot, remind me of that one at the end of this article,..is set to Start Tommorrow @ 10:00 AM. 8 teams have been registered and ready to go leaving 8 more spots to fill. 4 in the Eastern Division and 4 in the western Division. We have Drawn 8 addtional Teams from the hat and have them placed into the Tourney Ladder and are ready to start. So if you havent seen your matchups for this event, go here now for the update. 3-29-2002 - Beaverton,OR - The weekly events will be spaced farther apart to allow more flexibilty in everyones schedule. It will also give time to the XbN clans to get registered on the league site.

Make sure to check the current schedules for updates an changes. At this time XbN IV will be extended another week to allow the matches in progress to coplete. XbN V will start on Saturday April 13th and then the events will be every two weeks. Registry Information for Coming Events

Tourney Update: 3-26-2K2 Current Tourney Information & Registry Information for Coming Events Registration is now open for XbN V which starts Saturday for another round of Play. This Events Prizes are Provided by Promise Tech, Inc., The leaders in ATA Contoller Card Technology. Also added to the events is $10.00 worth of Game Coupons for Hollywood Video/GameCrazy.

The Halo Online alliance is growing, with new sponsors being added each day and the momentum growing on new and cutting edge tunnel programs. This site itself has gone through some major changes in the past year and this is good news for our members. We have gone abroad with new partnerships being forged with UK and Dutch Sites and the word is spreading. So register you Clan or Player membership today and get in on the action. The following link is for a first set of rules for gametypes and league structure for the WgA scoring system. Its a Simple format and will be the primary scoring system for Clan and Single Member bouts until I can add some more game types and rules for varied events. This will be posted on the Tournamnet page as well and in the Official XbN rulebooks.

Tourney Update: 3-14-2K2 WGA on board now for Registration for Tourneys and Events!

Scores and Posting for XbN III will be handled in the usual manner by posting the scores to XbN Central following the days of the Event.

This is soon to change though. XbN and WgA have come together to offer the Existing XbN membership and new members alike a great system for keeping track of these events and provide great stats in the process. The System is automated and fool-proof and definitly the way to go. Registration for XbN IV and all other Events will be handled in this manner. I apologize for the inconveineance this may cause existing members, but hey.....it only takes a minute or two and its free. It also will provide the foundation for Ladder Events and Weekly/Monthly contests. So....XbN III will hopefully dawn the age of a new way of doing things around here and I appreciate the support in the past.

Tourney Update: 3-18-2K2 Current Tourney Results Here !!

Online Updates : WGA is setup now for League Play for all XbN Member Clans. We are 76 Members strong in 16 Clans and the registration for WgA is open for members to get a player accounts. The system is brand new and I am still configuring some of the game types & map rules, but the Account activation, Login, Challenging program and Scoring/Ranking system is in place. This service is free to all XbN Members and anyone else interested in joining the best system for organized league and ladder play. XbN Member Clan Leaders it is important that you get all of your members signed up first, then you can Get a Clan Account and recruit your members. Its real easy, but it can be a little confusing at start. But thats beause you will be suprised at how sinmple it is. When logging in for the first time, make sure you look to the left border and scroll down till you see Sections and then click on the one that says XBox. If you have any question please email me and I will help you get going. XbN Members will have a WgA Enabled tag added to their Roster Plaque so you can identify who is ready and registered to start league or ladder play.

News Byte: Been getting alot of good play on www.xboxconnector.com. This is also is a stage of Development but Better than the BIG GUYS so far. Had some bugs...some lag...but overall perfomance is awesome...it will get better. Nothin but good thing to come from this one...stay tuned.

NOTE: Official XbN seal is the Emblem Representing your clan. These Emblems will be used for the Tournament Brackets and Rankng Systems and will become available to you and your clan for forum and clan ID upon completion of your Official Clan Artwork and REegistration on WgA.

XbN Tourney Update - Registration Closed and Matches Set !!

Tourney Update: 3-15-2K2 Teams are set for Saturdays Brawl !

All of the teams have been matched up for Saturdays Event scheduled to start @10:00 AM PST. Go here to view the Tourney Bracket with the All of the teams signed up are within the XbN Membership and will be playing for $10.00 Worth of Rental Coupons at Hollywood Video™. We will also be keeping track of the stats and imputing them into the new Membership Database. If you are an XbN Member clan With your official Seal then after this tourney you will need to register you clan and membership on the WgA for League Play, Ladder Play, Awesome Statistics handling, membership recruiting, clan challenges and fool proof score keeping. The system is a bit confusing at start because its so simple. When you follow the link to the WgA Homepage, look to the left border and find sections, scroll down to Xbox Section and add a member. Clan Leaders Add a member first then recruit you clan members after they register. Its a fairly complex database with huge search queries. You may have to log out and login a few time, and it still has a fix needed to the challenger program, but should be fixed soon. So, at least register, get a feel for the System and keep an eye on the tourney board.

Tourney Update: Entry now open for XbN III - general admission- March 16th. Four XbN Member Clans are bracketed for the Next Round of tourneys and just waiting for some "Fraggin Newbies" to teach a lesson too....so if your gamey enough to challenge some of the best Halo Players...ever...go here. Open Enrollment for the this event is open only from March 13th to 15th until 1:00 PM PST for Saturdays Contest so sign up soon if you are interested in playing. Final Beackets will be announced Friday Afternoon so stay tuned here.

If we dont get enough outside teams to fill the brackets then we will play for stats only and fill in the blank brackets with the XbN Member Clans for Ranking and Points for Prizes and Cash. Please welcome "The Hurty Dozen" from Dallas TX. with 9 new members to add (9's not a dozen...must be a fragger's dozen...ahem...sorry) They will be a welcome addition to this motley crew of ska-la-wags and am sure they will fit right in. The XbN member Clan Area has been updated and I have finished banners for most of the Clans that needed them. Our membership is growing (now 68 with the latest addition) and stats are starting to come in and will be posted shortly after Saturdays event. There are also some links posted on the Online Sites Page for Xbox Connector, a new tunnel software. Quite good so far...we may have to move the tourneys there. More testing...ahem..."fragging" is required though. So hopefully, by next update, we will have great news for you about Xbox Connector. Keep an eye on the Online Sites link for more updates in the next few days.

These tournaments are self supporting and format is determined by interest in each event. So help in keeping these Tournaments strong and support our quest for Online Gaming Adventure.
